Tech
TECHNOLOGY at C.A.T.C.H. is used to accomplish tasks both artistic and practical. So, when C.A.T.C.H. students decided to dabble in the art of 3d design during their Graphic Arts class, they were prepared for the challenging task of conceptualizing every aspect of a home’s aesthetics. It starts with the picture above – a scaled rendering of the ideal bedroom.
TECHNOLOGY can also be used to create art. These drawings, though they may look to be drawn by hand, were actually rendered on the computer. Students spend time conceptualizing a fashion line, and then applying the technological skill necessary to bring it to life via the latest software. This idea was part of our 2008 fashion line, and represents the fusion of Arts & Technology.
The ever-evolving nature of TECHNOLOGY demands that our learning community keeps pace with advancements in all fields of innovation. Today, we are building 3d models of houses and designing fashion lines… tomorrow, we will be erecting skyscrapers and walking the runways of Paris and Milan.
